Short-term certificate On March 12th 2012, at the hall of College of Agriculture and Applied Biology, Can Tho University (CTU) in collaboration with Learning Encouragement Association of Can Tho City held the ceremony to present scholarships (1000.000 VND per scholarship) to 32 CTU students who have overcome difficulties to study well. The scholarships were sponsored by Vietnamese - Swiss Cultural Association. Participants at the ceremony were guests who are chairman and vice chairman of Learning Encouragement Association of Can Tho City, representatives from Vietnamese - Swiss Cultural Associationand, and at CTU side were Vice Rector Chau Van Luc and representatives of leaders from colleges, schools, departments and centers, along with 32 students receiving scholarships.

As it is known, the Vietnamese - Swiss Cultural Association has provided scholarships for students of CTU since 1992-1993 academic year, up to now about 20 years. To commemorate this event, at the ceremony, Learning Encouragement Association of Can Tho City awarded a medal of merit for the representative of Vietnamese - Swiss Cultural Association. Thanks to this source of scholarships, hundreds of poor students are able to overcome the difficulties to achieve good academic results when graduating. Ms. Phi Phung, representing the Vietnamese - Swiss Cultural Association said that although the lives of retired teachers are certainly difficult, they still manage to maintain Association’s Scholarship Fund to continue helping students to overcome their hardship.
