CTU Conference for Quality Assurance

On March 9th 2012, CTU held the conference to report and discuss the affairs of quality assurance. The conference was presided over by A/Prof. Dr. Do Van Xe, representing CTU Rectorate Board, along with representatives of leaders from CTU colleges, schools, departments and centers.

 

CTU Conference for Quality Assurance - reports on 2011 activities and action plans for 2012

 

On assignment of CTU Rectorate Board, Quality Assurance and Testing Center (QATC) takes responsibilities in inspecting, assessing, researching solutions and bringing in proposals to  assure the education and testing quality at CTU up to the best range in order to catch up with the education of advanced countries in the world. At the conference, QATC provided reports on the quality assurance activities in 2011, including the assessment of 11 education training programs based on AUN-QA standards (ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance ), the implementation of teaching diaries, the collection of CTU students’ comments on their classes in the credit-based teaching and learning system. Also, QATC presented their action  plans on assuring qualities  in 2012, in which they will continue quality assurance activities, especially the quality assurance for other 10 training programs based on AUN-QT, publishing the quality assurance guidebook which was proposed the draft and received the comments at the conference.

At the conference, Dr. Do Van Xe stated his concrete guidance to the quality assurance affairs, in which the procedure to implement the quality assurance activities must be gradually innovated, completed and put into practice unanimously. The activities in inspecting qualities and checking the current training programs must be continued to innovate to meet the demands of  the market place of labors on each training major. Toward the teaching activities, Vice Rector suggested that the lecturer staffs care and support students more and more in their learning activities so that the students can catch up with new learning methods to achieve the best of the knowledge. Thanks to their knowledge acquisition, students will able to adapt themselves and integrate easily in the future working environments.
