Currently, Can Tho University trains 91 undergraduate programs (including 2 advanced training programs, and 8 high-quality training programs), 51 graduate programs (of which 1 program is affiliated with a foreign country, 3 programs are taught in English) and 19 programs for Ph.D candidates.

Every year, CTU also accepts students from foreign universities (United States, Belgium, Japan, etc.) to study at CTU within the framework of the cooperation agreement between the two sides.

The training period at CTU is from 4 to 5 years for bachelor and engineer training programs, according to the credit system. The training program includes the first three semesters for common subjects of all programs and basic subjects for each program; The remaining semesters are devoted to basic knowledge and expertise for the training program.
