In his welcome speech to the delegates, Prof. Dr. Ha Thanh Toan briefly introduced the University and emphasized the close-knit cooperation between CTU and Japanese partners, especially the support from JICA from 1969. Recently, there were two crucial projects, including the CTU Improvement Project using an ODA loan and the TC Project for building capacity for CTU to be an excellent institution of education, scientific research, and technology transfer. They all serve the sustainable development of the Mekong Delta region and the country. CTU has signed 72 MOU and Memoranda of Agreement with 40 Japanese universities, companies, and industrial corporations. There is an upward trend in studying CTU staff and students in Japan. CTU has 100 turns of staff who have graduated in Japan, including 65 Ph.D. students and 38 master students. Currently, there are also 25 staff members studying in Japan, including 21 Ph.D. students and four master students. Moreover, hundreds of CTU students go to Japan every year for internship programs.

Prof. Dr. Ha Thanh Toan delivered a welcome speech

Agritree is one of Japan's leading companies in the solar sharing industry, aiming to improve the lives of local agri-aquacultural producers and suppliers by increasing their income and reducing carbon emissions from local primary productions. The company started cooperation with the University through the TC2 project. Both sides are interested in establishing a relationship that will promote collaboration and exchange in education and research with the following programs: (1) Test and evaluate the feasibility of solar sharing in southern Vietnam's agriculture as well as aquaculture; (2) Exchange data and information collected from the test; (3) Exchange of scientific materials, publications and other information of mutual interest; (4) Collaborative activities such as joint research by building solar sharing inside CTU campus.

Mr. Koji Nishi gave detail about Agritree and the solar sharing system

It is believed that based on the MOU signed, the strong relationship between Agritree and CTU will be established and grow through practical and potential cooperation programs and activities between the two units.
