From June 23 to June 30, 2024, 09 postgraduate students from the 29th Cohort of the French Teaching Methodology Program at Can Tho University (CTU) had an academic exchange visit at Rangsit University, Thailand.
The academic exchange program was designed with various enriching activities to help the students enhance their knowledge, teaching skills, and gain valuable experiences. This included participation in a seminar on the status of French language teaching and the culture of teaching and learning French in high schools and universities in Thailand and Vietnam, observation of a French language lesson at Phetchaburi High School and organization of French language games for 200 high school students, 2 teaching practice sessions for 30 students in a basic French language class at Rangsit University, as well as attendance at a training course on French teaching methodology for the tourism, hospitality, and business fields organized by the French Embassy in Thailand.

The activities not only provided the participants with new teaching knowledge and skills but also offered opportunities to learn from and exchange experiences with their Thai counterparts. Through the seminars, classroom observations, and teaching practicums, the students were exposed to modern French teaching methodologies, the integration of information technology in instruction, and the organization of engaging, experiential activities for learners.

Rangsit University, Phetchaburi High School, and the French Embassy in Thailand all provided positive feedback on the participation of the CTU delegation and expressed a strong desire to organize similar academic exchange activities in the future. The trip left the participants with invaluable experiences, contributing to the quality enhancement of the postgraduate program at CTU.
