Meeting with Attaché of Culture and Education of the U.S. Consulate General

On March 23rd, 2017, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Van Xe, Vice Rector and leader representatives of International Relations Department, and Center for Foreign Languages of Can Tho University (CTU) had a meeting with the delegation of the United States Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City led by Mr. David Turnbull, Attaché of Culture and Education.

In the efforts to continuously promote educational exchange between Viet Nam and the U.S. in recent years, the delegation of the U.S. Consulate General visited and discussed with leader representatives of CTU about the upcoming cooperation programs such as the English Access Scholarship Program for disadvantaged students, the English Language Fellow Program, and the US Higher Education Fair 2017.


At the meeting, Mr. David Turnbull expressed his deep gratitude for the cooperation and willing support of CTU in organizing the U.S. educational and cultural exchanges to students. Also, the Attaché expressed his pleasure with the long lasting cooperation proved by many cooperative programs that have been done in the past years. He also wished to be an effective bridge between CTU and its partners from America in promoting cooperative activities in the coming time.

On this occasion, the delegation had a meeting and exchange with CTU’s students to introduce the educational exchange programs and Fulbright program in Viet Nam.
