On March 31, 2025, Can Tho University (CTU), in collaboration with the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) and project members, organized the international conference to launch the project themed "Digital Ecosystem in Vietnamese Higher Education within International Standards: Current Situation and Opportunities." This conference is part of the Eramus+ (European Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students) project, "Accelerating the Development of the Digital Ecosystem in Vietnamese Higher Education (ACCEES)."

Attending the conference were Prof. Nicolas Maïnetti - Regional Director of AUF Asia-Pacific; representatives from the Department of Information and Statistics, under the Ministry of Science and Technology; numerous experts, scientists, managers, and representatives from domestic and international universities. From CTU, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hieu Trung - Vice Rector; representatives of the Board of Rectors of the College of Information and Communication Technology; representatives of relevant units and students.

In his speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hieu Trung emphasized the crucial role of the digital ecosystem in higher education, especially in the context of the rapid global digital transformation. The Vice Rector of CTU affirmed that the application of digital technology enhances training quality and fosters scientific research and innovation, thereby improving the competitiveness and status of higher education institutions in Vietnam. This conference is an essential forum for experts, researchers, and stakeholders to share experiences and discuss solutions for the sustainable and effective development of the digital technology ecosystem. Moreover, it provides a favorable opportunity for project participants to optimize implementation outcomes, meeting the practical needs of higher education in the digital era. The partners will closely collaborate to establish a strong alliance, effectively implementing educational innovation programs in the direction of digitalization and contributing to advancing modern and internationally integrated higher education in Vietnam.

Prof. Nicolas Maïnetti expressed his aspiration to build a robust digital ecosystem, enabling students and lecturers to access international academic resources better. He further shared that establishing a digital ecosystem is particularly challenging and requires close coordination among educational institutions, technology enterprises, and research organizations.
Throughout the conference, leading experts delivered key presentations, providing diverse perspectives on the digital technology ecosystem in higher education. The reports focused on key issues such as policies supporting digital transformation, university implementation experiences, and advanced training models integrating technology. Notably, studies on artificial intelligence applications, big data, and innovative teaching methodologies opened up promising development prospects, contributing to the deep integration of Vietnamese higher education with international standards.

The conference served as a vital forum for experts, scientists, and managers to exchange experiences, update trends, and propose solutions to foster the development of the digital technology ecosystem in Vietnamese higher education. CTU, as one of the pioneering institutions in science, technology, and digital transformation in the Mekong Delta region, will continue to affirm its mission through research, technological applications, innovation, and community service. CTU continues to apply digital technology, enhance teaching and research quality, and work towards a globally connected modern higher education system to meet the demands of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and contribute to the sustainable development of Vietnam.
