On April 3, 2025, Can Tho University (CTU) held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Incheon National University (South Korea). The ceremony was attended by Prof. Park Jongtae - President of Incheon National University, along with delegation members. Representing CTU were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Trung Tinh - Rector, and representatives from various units.

According to the signed agreement, CTU and Incheon National University will collaborate in multiple fields, including enhancing academic program exchanges; facilitating scholarly activities for students, lecturers, and researchers; and jointly organizing scientific research projects, international conferences, and seminars. Notably, the two institutions will focus on cooperation in key fields such as health sciences, biotechnology, environmental science, core technology, agriculture, and aquaculture.

In his speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Trung Tinh emphasized that CTU has the mission of education, scientific research, and technology transfer to support socio-economic development in the Mekong Delta region. Currently, CTU has 124 undergraduate training programs, 57 master’s training programs, and 21 doctoral training programs. The Rector highlighted CTU’s long-term collaboration with South Korean partners in research and education, having established partnerships through agreements with 30 educational institutions and businesses. This MoU marks a significant milestone in the partnership between both sides, aiming to enhance education quality and research capacity in key areas of collaboration.
