CTU welcomed the Delegation of Australian Consulate – General

In the morning of March 14th 2012, Can Tho University (CTU) was honored to receive the delegation of Australian Consulate – General led by Mr. John McAnulty Am - Consul General. Vice Rector Do Van Xe representing CTU Rectorate Board, along with representatives of Department of International Relations, College of Aquaculture and Fisheries, College of Environment and Natural Resources, School of Education, Research Institute for Climate Change and Mekong Delta Development Research Institute warmly welcomed the delegation. On their visit to CTU, the delegation of Australian Consulate – General attended the reception of CTU and then was welcomed to visit the relevant colleges and institutes at CTU.

At the reception, A/Prof. Dr. Do Van Xe introduced an overview of CTU activities and development, as well as achievements that CTU has achieved in recent years, especially the activities in collaboration with Australian education and research organizations, bringing out the directions of the cooperation between CTU and Australian educational and research institutions in the coming time. On this occasion, as assigned by Vice Rector, representative leaders of attending colleges and institutes introduced the delegation of Australian Consulate – General an overview of their operation and presented the effectiveness of project activities in collaboration with and support of Australian organizations.


At their side, Australian Consul General – Mr. John McAnulty Am, appreciated the breakthroughs CTU has achieved. He also expressed great appreciation to CTU’s help and support to Australian staffs, students and research students in their work, study and implementation of their research at CTU and in the Mekong Delta. Moreover, the Consul General also expressed willingness to cooperate with CTU in the future and promote the cooperation between educational institutions in Australia and CTU in the fields of education and training, environment, climate change and fisheries.
