From September 18th to 30th, 2017, at the Great Hall, Can Tho University (CTU) held graduation ceremony for students of 12 units of CTU including: College of Information Communication Technology, College of Agriculture and Applied Biology, College of Economics, School of Law, College of Aquaculture and Fisheries, College of Environment and Natural Resources, College of Rural Development, College of Natural Sciences, College of Engineering Technology, Mekong Delta Research and Development Institute, Biotechnology Research and Development Institute, and CTU Software Center.
At the third graduation ceremony in 2017, CTU awarded the degrees to a total of 5,490 new bachelors and engineers, of which 134 graduates were excellent, accounting for 2.5%; 1,179 good graduates, accounting for 21.5%; 3,514 good graduates, accounting for 64%; and 663 graduates average, accounting for 12%.
CTU always makes best efforts to well perform the missions of training, scientific research and technology transfer, contributing significantly to the socio-economic development of the Mekong Delta region and the whole country. At the present, the total number of students is about 52,000. The University offers 97 undergraduate, 43 master’s (03 international) and 16 doctoral training programs. CTU continuously improves training quality based on national and international standards, especially AUN-QA’s, ABET’s, and JBET’s. In 2013, the University was honored to become an official member of AUN (ASEAN University Network). In particular, CTU has 03 undergraduate programs accredited by AUN-QA, including Agricultural Economics recognized in 2013, and Advanced Biotechnology and Advanced Aquaculture recognized in 2014. In 2016, the University has conducted internal quality accreditation for four training programs under AUN-QA standards. In addition, two high quality training programs, International Business and Information Technology, are being internationally accredited.
