Closing Ceremony of the 6th National Students Startup Day

On May 13th, 2024, the closing ceremony of the 6th National Students Startup Day (SV Startup 2024) took place at Turtle Hall, Can Tho University (CTU), summarizing the journey of crystallizing startup ideas by students. The event was attended by representatives of central ministries and agencies, educational institutions, related units, and many students participating in the competition.

Reporting on the final round results, Mr. Tran Van Dat, Director General of the Student Affairs Department (Ministry of Education and Training) presented the achieved results and impressive accomplishments of the teams. Additionally, He also highly appreciated the ideas and efforts of the contestants in implementing their startup ideas.

The organizing committee awarded certificates to the units that supported the competition

The organizing committee awarded 10 first prizes, 20 second prizes, 30 third prizes, and 20 consolation prizes to both high school and university students from over 700 submissions in five fields: industry, product manufacturing; agriculture, forestry, fishery; education, tourism, services, finance; healthcare, beauty technology, and social impact business. Among them, the CTU team with the idea "Semi-automatic prosthetic finger for the disabled" won third prize.

At the closing ceremony, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Kim Chi, Deputy Minister of Education and Training expressed gratitude to the units that cooperated to successfully organize the event. She affirmed that the refined ideas in this year's event are evidence of the educational institutions' close attention to student entrepreneurship activities, laying the foundation for the country's growth and development.

SV Startup 2024 officially concluded after two days filled with numerous exciting and meaningful activities. For each participating team, the value brought by the event is not just recognition but also opportunities to achieve their startup dreams, showcasing a grand and macro vision for personal development and national growth across various fields. CTU, as the co-organizing unit, excellently fulfilled its role, leaving a positive impression on each participating unit.
