Starting from a small-sized educational institution with inadequate staff and facilities, at present, CTU has been a key university of the country, with 16 faculties and 3 research institutes, 19 centers, 15 departments and 01 company. There are 1,871 staff members including 1,101 lecturers (11 professors, 133 associate professors, 399 PhDs and 794 masters).

In the development strategy, training and quality assurance are always the top priority tasks. Accordingly, the Unirsity concentrates all efforts to improve the quality of training. In 2013, CTU officially became the 30th member of the Southeast Asian University Network (AUN) and this year, Agricultural Economics program was recognized by AUN-QA, creating favorable conditions for the University to have a deeper access to regional quality standards to enhance its quality.

The recognition of AUN-QA for Advanced Biotechnology and Advanced Aquaculture in 2014 has confirmed the quality the two programs. At the same time, it strongly affirms CTU's commitment to the society on quality assurance of human resources. In addition to the experience gained from external evaluations in accordance with AUN-QA standards, the University continues to conduct external assessment on two programs, International Business and Information Technology. Once again, CTU is pleased to announce that AUN has officially issued a certificate to recognize these two training programs to meet AUN-QA's standard on August 27th, 2018.

In 2011, with the strategy of expanding the scale of training, bringing higher education closer to the countryside, CTU decided to establish a campus in Hoa An commune. This campus has become an important training center of the University with 11 specialized training programs for rural areas. Hoa An is also the place to conduct scientific research activities to solve practical issues that contribute to sustainable rural development in Hau Giang as well as the Mekong Delta. To achieve the above results, besides the efforts of the University, the support of the localities is very important, and the University has always received the timely attention of Hau Giang province in many aspects. On this occasion, CTU respecfully presented the emblems to Hau Giang leaders to acknowledge their contributions to the development of CTU and hoped that the link between the University and the localities will be further tight and firm.
