Undergraduate On December 9, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hieu Trung – Vice Rector of Can Tho University, along with representatives of relevant units, welcomed and held a working session with Prof. Annelies Declercq – Head of Lab of Aquaculture and Artemia Reference Center, Ghent University, Kingdom of Belgium.

With strong expertise in the field of aquaculture, Can Tho University and Ghent University have maintained a long-standing and robust partnership through joint teaching programs, academic exchange activities, collaborative research projects, and interdisciplinary initiatives on sustainable aquaculture and fisheries resource management.

The meeting further deepened the bilateral cooperation between the two universities, aiming to strengthen research capacity, promote technology transfer, and expand collaboration in training high-quality human resources. These orientations are expected to generate practical contributions to the sustainable development of the fisheries sector, particularly in the Mekong Delta – the largest aquaculture hub in Vietnam.
