On the morning of December 15, 2023, Mr. Anouphap Tounalom, Secretary of the Laos People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Chairman of the People's Council of Vientiane, along with a high-ranking delegation from the capital city of Vientiane, were warmly welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Vang, the Dean of the College of Agriculture at Can Tho University (CTU). Accompanied by lecturers and leaders representing various units of CTU, the delegation visited the College of Agriculture to gather information, learn about the achievements, and gain insights into the activities of CTU.

The visit served as an occasion to further strengthen and expand the special friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos, with a specific focus on the capital city of Vientiane and CTU. Furthermore, CTU also shared its numerous accomplishments in implementing sustainable development strategies in the Mekong Delta region and within the country as a whole. Through these exchanges, the visit fostered closer ties and cooperation between the two nations and highlighted the significant contributions of CTU in promoting progress and sustainability.

During the reception, Mr. Anouphap Tounalom, accompanied by a high-ranking delegation from Vientiane, had the opportunity to tour the College of Agriculture's facilities, including the campus, classrooms, laboratories, and practical rooms. The delegation showed interest in the extensive research conducted by the lecturers and students at the College of Agriculture, specifically focusing on rice and crop varieties. Mr. Anouphap Tounalom expressed delight and was deeply impressed by the ongoing development of CTU. He expressed confidence that this visit would further strengthen and enhance both sides' friendly relationship and cooperation.
