From December 5th to December 8th, 2023, the Olympiad Team in Informatics of Can Tho University (CTU) participated in the 32nd Vietnam Student Olympiad in Informatics (OLP'23), the contest in international student programming “ICPC Asia Hue City 2023” in the Asia-Pacific region and Procon Vietnam 2023 held at the Hue University of Sciences. This year's competition has the participation of 78 universities, colleges, and institutes nationwide with nearly 600 students, including 67 students who competed in the Super Cup, 194 students in the Specialized Informatics Group, 92 students in the Non-Specialized Informatics Group, 45 students in Open Source Software, and 38 students in Procon Vietnam.
CTU’s Team participating in OLP'23 and the ICPC international student programming competition includes 17 students led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Nguyen Khang, Vice-Rector of the College of Information and Communications Technology and the Head of the delegation.

Besides, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Nguyen Khang was also awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations for the Head of the delegation with outstanding achievements.
Being organized for 32 years, the Vietnam Student Olympiad in Informatics is a practical competition that helps students from universities and colleges across the country promote the integration ability of Vietnamese youth in the field of Information Technology, focusing on programming, algorithm, completion, teamwork and foreign language skills those are the basic foundations for future IT professionals, supplementing high-quality technology resources to serve digital transformation and industrialization - modernization of the country.
