Undergraduate On March 19, 2026, Can Tho University held a working session and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Osaka University of Economics (Japan). Attending the ceremony were Prof. Dr. Shunichiro Yamamoto - President of Osaka University of Economics; Mr. Muraoka Hioaki – Project Manager of Yanmar Holdings Co., Ltd and the delegation. Representing Can Tho University were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Trung Tinh - Rector, and leaders from various units.

According to the signed agreement, both universities agreed to establish a collaborative relationship in education and research, focusing on faculty and student exchanges, as well as the sharing of scientific publications and academic resources. Can Tho University and Osaka University of Economics also committed to jointly implementing research initiatives and organizing academic conferences in the fields of economics and culture. During the session, Can Tho University and Osaka University of Economics also discussed and proposed potential cooperative activities between the university and enterprises, particularly with Osaka University and Yanmar Company.

The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding marks a significant milestone in Can Tho University’s efforts to expand its international partnership network. It contributes to the enhancement of academic quality and research capacity while creating more opportunities for scholarly exchange and educational advancement for both faculty and students in the future.
