Can Tho University held Graduation Ceremony for Master and PhD Graduates in 2012

On April 21^st 2012, Can Tho University (CTU) solemnly held the Graduation Ceremony for Master and PhD graduates in 2012 at the university’s Great Hall. Participants at CTU were A/Prof. Dr. Ha Thanh Toan – Rector, A/Prof. Dr. Do Van Xe – Vice Rector, along with leader representatives of colleges, schools, departments, centers and related staff. The ceremony was honored to welcome the valued guests: Dr. Phan Van Thom – Rector of Tay Do University, Dr. Duong Thai Cong – Rector of Can Tho In-service University Center, Dr. Huynh Thanh Nha – Rector of Can Tho College of Economics and Technology, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Minh – Lecturer representative of Tay Do University, Dr. Nguyen Thien Phong – Lecturer of Governmental Auditing Area 5, Dr. Vu Thi Minh Hien – Lecturer of Accounting and Auditing Association of Can Tho, as well as relatives and colleagues of Master and PhD graduates.

CTU was assigned to carry out the training of PhD academic programs in 1982 by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) of Vietnam with two academic programs: Microorganism and Argo-chemistry – Pedology. In 1993, the university started to enroll postgraduate students for the first course of four Master programs: Agronomy, Animal Production, Veterinary and Ecology. Up to now, CTU has been training nine PhD academic programs and thirty-six Master programs. From now on, to match the demand of human resources with high quality for the development of the Mekong Delta, CTU has been making great efforts to expand other post-graduate training programs in combination with strengthening the university’s good staff and facilities. On this ceremony, CTU granted 2 PhD degrees and 574 Master degrees to PhD and Master graduates in 2012.
