MOU Signing Ceremony between Can Tho University and Yamagata University – Japan

On 20th April 2012, Can Tho University (CTU) was hosted the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony with Yamagata University (YU) – Japan. At CTU side, A/Prof. Dr. Ha Thanh Toan – Rector,  A/Prof. Dr. Le Viet Dung – Vice Rector along with representatives of leaders from College of Agriculture and Applied Biology, College of Environment and Natural Resources, Mekong Delta Development Research Institute, Department of International Relations and related staff. The delegation of YU was led by Mr. Hironori Yasuda - Vice President, International Exchange - Students Affairs to pay a visit to CTU.

Can Tho University warmly received the delegation of Yamagata University


On this occasion, CTU and YU mutually exchanged an overview of education and training activities, as well as research ones at both sides in order to approach further collaboration directions in the near future. Also, leader representatives of the two universities already signed the MOU to mark the beginning in agreement of mutual collaboration in the following main issues:

- Exchange of the faculty and staff;

- Exchange of students;

- Promotion of joint research projects;

- Exchange of research reports; publications and academic information;

- Other activities by mutual agreement.
