Short-term certificate On November 20, 2024, during the celebration of the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, Can Tho University (CTU) announced the decision of the State Council for Professor of Viet Nam to recognize the attainment of the titles of Professor and Associate Professor in 2024 for 26 teaching staff members of CTU.

This year, four Professors and 22 Associate Professors were recognized across various disciplines, with the highest number in the field of Agriculture (8 individuals). Notably, nine of the Associate Professors are female (accounting for 34.6% of the total). In addition, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Thi Kim Quy (born in 1988) who is the youngest recipient at 36 years old. Moreover, Prof. Dr. Dinh Minh Quang became the first and youngest Professor in Biology at CTU. Furthermore, CTU welcomed its first Associate Professors in several disciplines, including Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tien in Physics, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Duc Thuan in History, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hoa in Physical Education and Sports.
Currently, CTU has 206 Professors and Associate Professors, including 24 Professors and 182 Associate Professors. This milestone strongly demonstrates the university's commitment to developing a highly qualified faculty team. Through these efforts, CTU continues to enhance the quality of its education and scientific research, affirming its role and status as a leading institution for undergraduate and postgraduate education, scientific research, and technology transfer to support the socio-economic development of the Mekong Delta region and Vietnam.
