Short-term certificate On November 20th, 2023, the State Council for Professorship issued Decision No. 80/QD-HDGSNN giving the recognition for professor and associate professor in 2023. Accordingly, there are 58 professors and 572 associate professors recognized. Can Tho University (CTU) is pleased to have 4 professors (including 3 full-time lecturers and 1 visiting lecturer) and 21 associate professors recognized.
The professors and associate professors recognized this time come from various fields and disciplines, with the highest number in Agriculture with 9 individuals. Animal Husbandry and Aquaculture have 6 individuals (3 individuals each). Additionally, there are lecturers from other fields such as Economics, Education, Information Technology, Chemistry, Law, Biology, and Construction.
Among the 21 associate professors recognized this year, 6 are female, accounting for 28.6%. Prof. Dr. Huynh Xuan Hiep is the first professor in the field of Information Technology at Can Tho University. Furthermore, there are 2 associate professors born in 1987, meaning they are only 36 years old (Assoc. Prof. Dr. Khuu Thi Phuong Dong and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Anh).
