Undergraduate On September 18, 2026, Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Hai - Acting President of Can Tho University (CTU), held a working session with a delegation from Korean enterprises and the Jinju City Culture and Tourism Bureau, Republic of Korea. The delegation was led by Mr. Hyonsu Ahn - Chief Executive Officer of ANH Structure Co., Ltd., and included Mr. Jaegyun Kwag - Director of Seokyeong Broadcasting Co., Ltd., and Mr. Sungjin Park - Ex-Director General of Culture and Tourism Bureau, Jinju City.

The meeting took place in an open and constructive atmosphere, focusing on exploring the strengths, needs, and potential areas of cooperation among the participating parties. The Korean delegation shared information about their areas of operation, expertise, and experience, as well as the strengths of their businesses and the local community. They also expressed their interest in establishing connections with CTU across a range of areas, including economics, culture and society, technology and engineering, aviation, and other fields that align with the capabilities, needs, and cooperation potential of the parties.
Speaking at the meeting, Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Hai warmly welcomed the Korean delegation and highly appreciated the Korean partners’ interest in and goodwill toward the University. The Acting President of CTU emphasized that the presence of Korean enterprises and representatives of the Jinju City Culture and Tourism Bureau opened up a multidimensional space for cooperation, where CTU’s strengths could meet businesses’ practical needs and the local area’s development potential. In the spirit of sharing resources, knowledge, and experience, CTU stands ready to work alongside its partners to explore new models of cooperation, connect education with practice, and make international cooperation a driving force for expanding development opportunities for learners, staff, and the community.

The Korean delegation expressed its appreciation for the gracious reception from CTU and highly valued the University’s potential in training, research, and human resources. Members of the delegation expressed their desire to gradually turn the discussions at the meeting into appropriate cooperation programs, strengthen connections between CTU and businesses and organizations in Jinju City, and thereby expand opportunities for exchange and cooperation in the time ahead.
The Korean delegation expressed the hope that the discussions at the meeting would serve as a starting point for the participating parties to gain a deeper understanding of one another, identify areas where their strengths are aligned and practical needs exist, and pursue specific, effective, and long-term cooperation
Signing the Memorandum of Understanding to Expand Cooperation in Education and Engineering
As part of the program, CTU and ANH Structure Co., Ltd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Going beyond the establishment of a formal cooperation framework, the agreement creates opportunities to bring together the University’s strengths in knowledge, training, and research with the company’s practical experience and business needs, thereby allowing the two parties to jointly explore areas of cooperation capable of generating tangible value.
On this foundation, the two parties will gradually promote academic and professional exchanges, share materials, scientific information, and practical experience, co-organize conferences, forums, and thematic seminars, and explore opportunities for joint research and development, technical consulting, and projects aligned with their respective strengths.
Notably, the company’s practical experience will be connected with CTU’s training and human resource development activities through professional exchanges, the sharing of practical perspectives, and support for training programs in engineering and technology. This approach will help bring real-world issues closer to the classroom while creating opportunities for university knowledge and research to be explored, tested, and further developed in response to practical needs in life and production.
