Short-term certificate On September 20th, 2023, Can Tho University (CTU) held the closing ceremony of the student exchange program on Smart Technology, under the 2023 Smart Agriculture Program for students of GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (GBPUAT), India.

At the closing program, Dr. Le Van Lam, Head of the Department of International Relations, CTU awarded certificates of completion of the study program to 10 Indian students and sent his thanks to GBPUAT and the students for their contributions to this program. On behalf of CTU, Dr. Lam also hopes that CTU and GBPUAT will have more student exchange programs together in the future to continue to develop applied technology in agriculture in particular and other fields in general.

In the current context of Vietnamese agriculture, especially the Mekong Delta facing climate change and saltwater intrusion, research activities on Smart Agriculture are urgently needed. As one of the leading universities in the country in terms of agricultural training, CTU always creates many opportunities not only for domestic students but also for international students to participate in academic activities and technological development in agriculture.

This student exchange program took place for 30 days and was designed with diverse contents, closely related to issues of smart technology in agriculture and taught by a team of experienced lecturers. Thanks to this program, Indian students have not only improved their professional knowledge but also acquired the opportunity to understand more about Vietnamese agriculture. In particular, this exchange program is also considered the basis for CTU and GBPUAT to establish a long-term and cooperative relationship.
