School of Education Leveled up as a Specialized University: A Milestone in its Development Journey

On November 20, Can Tho University (CTU) announced Resolution No. 216/NQ-HĐT signed on November 20, 2024, by the CTU Council, leveling up the School of Education as a specialized university (in Vietnamese, “specialized university” means “Trường chuyên ngành”) under CTU.

The School of Education (SoE) is organized into the following academic and administrative units: SoE Office, Department of Mathematics and Informatics Education, Department of Literature Education, Department of Physics Education, Department of Chemistry Education, Department of Biology Education, Department of History and Geography Education, Department of Primary and Pre-school Education, and Department of Educational Sciences.

The establishment of the SoE marked a significant milestone in the development of the former SoE, reflecting ongoing efforts to innovate and elevate the quality of education to meet the increasing societal demand in the field of education.

Currently, the SoE is the sixth specialized university among the 20 units, which include schools, colleges, and research institutes affiliated with CTU. Its establishment marks a pivotal step towards expanding the scale and quality of education, affirming its position as a prestigious institution in training, research, and teacher development. This contributes significantly to the educational advancement of the Mekong Delta region and the nation as a whole.
