Located in the heart of the Mekong Delta, over 56 years after its foundation (March 31, 1966), CTU is now a key national institution of education. In the development strategy, CTU always determines that quality assurance in education is a priority task. Since 2003, the University has set up a task force in charge of quality management and then a formal unit in charge of quality management. Thanks to great efforts, CTU became an AUN member in July 2013, and since then we have been employing AUN-QA practices across our campuses.
The University has conducted 5 AUN-QA on-site assessments in 2013, 2014, and 2018, and 02 AUN-QA remote assessments in 2021.
Prof. Dr. Ha Thanh Toan, CTU's Rector, reviewed the previous AUN-QA practices at CTU |
This year, CTU conducts this remote assessment for 4 study programs, namely (i) Bachelor of Engineering in Plant Protection, (ii) Bachelor in Applied Mathematics, (iii) Master in Mathematical Analysis, and (iv) Bachelor of Engineering in Aquaculture (advanced program). This assessment is based on AUN-QA Guide Version 4.0.
All of these activities show CTU’s strong commitment to the sustainable development of AUN and AUN-QA. It is believed that with their rich experience and expertise, the AUN-QA team will help CTU identify areas for further improvement and provide CTU with useful recommendations for the enhancement of the quality system in support of education, research, and community services so that the University can fully meet the demands of its stakeholders.
The University commits that the 4 study programs and related departments and staff will make their best efforts to support the AUN-QA team during the online assessment.
