MoU Signing with Kaposvár University, Hungary

On November 15th, 2019, Can Tho University (CTU) held an MoU Signing Ceremony with Kaposvár University, Hungary, and introduced scholarship of the Hungarian Government to students. Attending and witnessing the MoU signing were H.E.Mr. Őry Csaba, Ambassador of Hungary to Vietnam; representatives of Kaposvár city and Kaposvár University. On CTU's side were the Rector, representatives of CTU's units, and students.

At the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Trinh Quoc Lap, Dean of School of Foreign Languages, CTU and Prof.Dr. Krisztián Józsa, Dean of Faculty of Pedagogy, Kaposvár University, represented the two universities to sign the MoU with the aim of promoting mutual understanding and cooperation in research and education through following activities such as faculty exchange, joint research, participation in seminars and academic meetings of mutual interest, exchange of academic meterials, scientific information ans documentation, exchange of students, and co-supervision of graduate.

Kaposvár University has four faculties including Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Rippl-Rónai Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Economic Science, and Faculty of Pedagogy. All faculties offer bachelor and master training programs; particularly, Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, and Faculty of Economic Science offer PhD programs. At present, three PhD students from Vietnam are studying there. One of the three alumni of the University is now a lecturer of CTU.

Vietnamese students may have opportunities to study at this University through the Hungarian Government Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship, which provides more than 460 training programs at 28 institutions. This year, students can apply for study programs from November 15th 2019 to January 15th 2020 and start studying in September 2020.
