Short-term certificate On January 9th, 2018, Can Tho University (CTU) held a ceremony to celebrate the 68th anniversary of Traditional Day of Vietnamese students and to honor students with five good merits and students presented January Star Awards.

The ceremony is an opportunity for all students to review the tradition of the generations of Vietnamese students, the progress of Vietnam Students Association with 68 years of formation and growth; at the same time, evaluate the results achieved by the CTU Students Association in 2016-2017 school year and orient the activities of the Association in the coming time.
This title "students with five good merits" was first introduced by Vietnam’s Student Association and soon became the title students nationwide attempt to achieve. The 5 criteria of the title include good ethics, good learning, good physical strength, good volunteer and good integration. “Student with five good merits” title has become the target and motivation for CTU students to make great efforts to obtain.
In the school year of 2016-2017, CTU has presented the title "student with five good merits" at university level to 403 outstanding students. Among those, 23 students were achieved this title at city level. Especially, CTU has one student satisfying the criteria and deserve the central-level "students with five good merits" title. Besides, by brilliant academic results and contributions to the students’ movements, two students of CTU won the January Star Awards, a noble prize of Vietnam’s Student Association.
