CTU welcomed Korea Institute of Industrial Technology (KITECH)

On March 21^st 2012, Can Tho University (CTU) was honored to welcome the delegation from Korea Institute of Industrial Technology (KITECH). A/Prof. Dr. Ha Thanh Toan – Rector of CTU, along with representatives of leaders from College of Engineering Technology, College of Aquaculture and Fisheries, College of Agriculture and Applied Biology, College of Information and Communication Technology, School of Economics and Business Administration, Biotechnology Research and Development Institute, Center of Services and Department of International Relation warmly welcomed the delegation of KITECH. Representing KITECH, Dr. Byung-Wook Choi – Executive Director of International Affairs Division led the delegation to visit CTU, expressing his wishes to receive the cooperation and support from CTU in the Korean technology experiment in the project of “High-tech Industry Business Incubator” in Can Tho City.

CTU welcomed the delegation from KITECH, Korea

Can Tho City is going to set up the project of “Hi-tech Industry Business Incubator”. In 2011, the city authorities already visited models of successful high-tech business incubator in Korea. It is found that Cheonan City of Korea and Can Tho City has many similarities in fields of production and business such as agriculture, fisheries and mechanics. Accordingly, in bilateral cooperation programs between the governments of Vietnam and Korea, two representatives of Cheonan and Can Tho had signed the agreement on the cooperation of imlementing the project “High-tech Industry Business Incubator”. With this project, Can Tho city will help the companies in the city to thrive the high-tech applications in production and business activities.

At the reception, A/Prof. Dr. Ha Thanh Toan expressed CTU’s willingness to cooperate and support KITECH in terms of human resources and technology when they implement their technology in Can Tho City.

Dr. Byung-Wook Choi expressed his wishes to receive CTU’s cooperation and support in the coming time.
