On December 22nd, 2018, Can Tho King Sejong Institute cooperated with Korean Studies Center - Can Tho University (CTU) to hold a ceremony to award the completion certificate of Korean course to the third batch of students in 2018. Attending the ceremony were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Vo Chau Ngan, Deputy Director of Korean Studies Center, Deputy Head of International Relations Department; Prof. Kim Jae Chon, Wonkwang University, Head of Can Tho King Sejong Institute with Korean teachers and students.

Can Tho King Sejong Institute was founded in 2015 to promote CTU's cooperation with Korean partners; introduce Korean culture through organizing Vietnamese-Korean cultural exchange activities; teaching Korean/Vietnamese for those who wish to study, work and settle in Korea/Vietnam.
Since the first Korean course held in 2015, this is the 8th Korean course organized by Can Tho King Sejong Institute at CTU. Students of all Korean courses are taught directly by a team of Korean teachers introduced by King Sejong Institute. In addition to language teaching, native teachers also introduced featured culture through many extra-curricular activities such as musical-instrumental classes, Korean culinary days, and speaking contest, etc.
The third Korean course of 2018 lasted from October 3rd to December 16th, 2018, with 4 elementary classes and 1 communication class. After more than 11 weeks of study, 76 students have completed the course and received the certificate of completion after taking the exam with 04 skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. At the ceremony, 04 outstanding students were awarded for their highest scores in the final exam.
Participating in Korean classes, there are not only CTU's students and staff but also officers from departments, organizations in the Mekong Delta region, especially which have cooperative activities with Korean partners. Therefore, communicating in Korean language will create opportunities for interaction, cooperation, and deeper understanding among Korean-Vietnamese partners, thus contributing to developing the good relationship between the two countries.
