On July 27, 2026, Can Tho University (CTU) held a Certificate Awarding Ceremony for 19 lecturers from Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University (Thailand) who successfully completed the Short-term English Professional Development Training Program for Teaching and Research. The ceremony was chaired by Dr. Le Van Lam - Vice Rector of CTU, and attended by representatives of academic units, program instructors, and all program participants.
This marked the second cohort of the program organized by CTU in 2026 for lecturers from Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University, reaffirming the effectiveness of the partnership between the two sides in faculty development, academic exchange, and the internationalization of higher education. The successful implementation of consecutive cohorts also reflects CTU's growing capability to organize high-quality international professional development programs for overseas partner universities.

These activities enabled participants to strengthen their academic competencies while improving their presentation, critical thinking, and professional communication skills in English.

These experiences provided valuable insights into Vietnam's academic environment, culture, and society while introducing participants to CTU's strategic orientations in education, scientific research, innovation, digital transformation, and international cooperation. More importantly, they broadened participants' perspectives on higher education in the region and strengthened mutual understanding and professional connections between faculty members of the two universities.
In his remarks, Dr. Le Van Lam congratulated the participants on successfully completing the program and commended their enthusiasm, commitment to academic exchange, and collaborative spirit throughout the training. The Vice President of CTU emphasized that the program had not only strengthened participants' English proficiency for teaching, research, and academic communication but had also created a valuable platform for faculty members from both sides to establish lasting academic networks and explore future collaborations in research, education, academic exchange, and human resource development.

Representing Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University, Ms. Nongluk Chanpichai expressed her sincere appreciation for CTU's warm hospitality and professional organization throughout the program. She highly valued the training curriculum, noting its effective integration of English language development, research proposal writing, and academic exchange activities. According to her, these experiences would help lecturers improve their teaching and research capacities while inspiring new ideas for future international collaborative projects. Ms. Nongluk Chanpichai also shared that the participants were deeply impressed by the friendliness and dedication of CTU's lecturers and students. She expressed her hope that both universities would continue to strengthen academic ties, expand collaborative activities, and promote reciprocal visits by faculty members and students in the years ahead.

During the ceremony, CTU officially awarded certificates to all participants upon completion of the program. Beyond recognizing their achievements, the ceremony marked the successful conclusion of the delegation's academic journey at CTU and represented another important milestone in the growing partnership between CTU and Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University.
Earlier, on July 13, 2026, CTU awarded certificates to another 19 lecturers and staff members from Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University upon completion of the same program. Conducted consecutively throughout July 2026, the two cohorts shared a common objective of strengthening participants' English proficiency for teaching, research, and academic communication. The curriculum integrated academic seminars, professional presentations, interactive discussions, cultural immersion activities, and networking opportunities with CTU faculty members and students, providing participants with a rich and comprehensive international learning experience.
