On May 13, 2026, the Vice Rectors of Can Tho University, including Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Hai and Dr. Le Van Lam, together with representatives from relevant units, welcomed and held a working session with Ms. Merel van der Van - First Secretary for Water Management and Climate Change, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Vietnam.

Built upon the increasingly strong cooperative relationship between Can Tho University and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Vietnam, the meeting introduced new directions for collaboration in education, scientific research, innovation, and international academic partnership programs. Discussions focused on areas of shared interest, including sustainable development, climate change, environmental issues, agriculture, technology, and strengthening high-quality human resource development in the context of international integration.

Through these efforts, Can Tho University continues to affirm its role as a key education and research hub in the Mekong Delta, actively promoting international integration and expanding global partnership networks for the sustainable development of the community and society.
