On January 15, 2026, the College of Agriculture – Can Tho University (CTU) held a closing ceremony and awarded certificates of completion for the credit transfer program to five students majoring in Veterinary Medicine from Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Bangladesh. The program was attended by representatives of the College’s Board of Management, the Department of External Relations and Global Education, and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, along with lecturers directly involved in the program.
The credit transfer program was implemented from January 5 to January 16, 2026, as a meaningful international cooperation initiative between the College of Agriculture – Can Tho University and Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University. Through this program, both institutions aimed to enhance academic exchange, share training experiences, and applied research practices in the field of Veterinary Medicine, while gradually strengthening and expanding their long-term cooperative relationship.
During their study period at Can Tho University, the Bangladeshi students participated in specialized academic courses and intensive practical training sessions at the modern laboratory system and practice facilities of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, College of Agriculture. In parallel with academic training, the students also had opportunities to attend and present scientific papers at thematic seminars in the field of Agriculture jointly organized by CTU and its partners. These activities contributed to enhancing their research capacity, critical thinking, and international academic communication skills. In addition, student exchange activities, cultural interactions, and hands-on experiences related to local life and agricultural production helped the students gain a deeper understanding of the natural, economic, and social conditions of the Mekong Delta, enriching their overall learning and experiential journey in Vietnam.

At the closing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chau Minh Khoi – Vice Dean of the College of Agriculture, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Van Pham Dan Thuy – Director of the Center of Global Education, presented certificates of completion to the students. The University leadership highly appreciated the students’ serious learning attitude, proactive approach to knowledge acquisition, and strong adaptability in an international academic environment, affirming that these qualities were key factors contributing to the overall success of the credit transfer program between the two higher education institutions.
