Announcement of Establishment and Inauguration of the Alumni Network Executive Board of Can Tho University

After 58 years since its establishment, being the home for nearly 60 generations of students, Can Tho University (CTU) is one of the educational institutions that contributes the most human resources to the Mekong Delta region and the country as a whole. With the desire to connect generations of alumni, create a network for sharing experiences, exchanges, cooperation, and development, on March 31, 2024, the Ceremony of Establishment and Inauguration of the CTU Alumni Network Executive Board was held at the Administration Building, with the participation of representatives from the Rectorate Board, leaders of units, along with hundreds of alumni and students attending both in-person and online.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Trung Tinh, the Rector of CTU, shared that with a tradition of unity and heroism, CTU has achieved numerous accomplishments over the past half-century. The Rector affirmed that, with contributions from alumni and considering the current situation, establishing an Alumni Network is necessary, playing a significant role in the overall development of CTU and the community.

The CTU Alumni Network consists of former students and participants in courses and training programs at CTU, with thousands of members involved. The Network is expected to continue expanding and bring benefits to all participants, creating a united and prosperous community.

The CTU Alumni Network Executive Board is established to build connections, cooperation, and development, provide support to both alumni and current students. The role of the Executive Board is to bridge the gap between alumni and CTU, creating favorable conditions for exchanging information, experiences, and fostering collaboration among alumni as well as with CTU as a whole. Moreover, the establishment of the Executive Board also reflects CTU's commitment to maintaining long-term relationships and providing the best conditions for the development of its graduates.

During the event, the CTU Alumni Network awarded 31 scholarships to students who come from challenging backgrounds and have achieved excellent academic performance, aiming to recognize their efforts and dedication and affirm the values of sharing and support within the CTU student community.
