30  Students from Thailand  Participate in Credit Exchange Program at the School of Education, Can Tho University

From April 2 to 31, 2025, 30 students from the School of Science, Walailak University (Thailand), participated in a credit exchange program at the School of Education, Can Tho University (CTU), under the framework of a bilateral cooperation agreement between the two institutions. This activity is part of CTU’s international academic credit exchange program, contributing to internationalizing education, promoting cultural exchange, and providing students from both countries with opportunities to learn and develop skills in a multicultural environment.

Dr. Thai Thi Ngoc Thuy, a lecturer from the Department of Mathematics and Informatics Education, School of Education, taught an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) class to students from Walailak University

During the credit exchange period, 30 students from Thailand enrolled in seven specialized education modules in Information Technology, Mathematics, Biology, and Natural Sciences. These courses enhanced their academic knowledge and equipped them with practical skills, research experience, and critical thinking abilities in education and the sciences.

Student Suphansa Pankliang from Walailak University, expressed her impression of the modern facilities and the friendly learning environment at CTU

Student Suphansa Pankliang from Walailak University shared: “During my time at CTU, I was especially impressed by the modern teaching models such as TPACK and EEE — they were completely new and exciting. The lecturers are highly knowledgeable, supportive, and always ready to help us when we face difficulties. The CTU’s students are hardworking and focused, which I noticed clearly in the classroom atmosphere. I’m also delighted with the dormitory — it's clean, well-equipped with air conditioning and a washing machine, and surrounded by convenience stores. My experience at CTU has provided me with valuable knowledge and beautiful memories.

In addition, the students actively engaged in hands-on activities, self-study, and group work with CTU students. These experiences helped foster academic interaction, teamwork abilities, and English communication skills in an international learning environment.

Biology Education students participated in an integrated theory-and-practice session led by Prof. Dr. Dinh Minh Quang, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Biology Education, School of Education

The School of Education at CTU organized field trips to destinations across Can Tho City to help students better understand the culture and people of Southern Vietnam. These excursions provided students with firsthand experiences of the region’s unique cultural identity and left them with meaningful memories throughout their academic journey in Vietnam.

The academic credit exchange program between the School of Education, CTU, and the School of Science, Walailak University has not only brought practical academic value to students in terms of knowledge, skills, and language proficiency, but also served as a bridge to strengthen the friendship and sustainable educational cooperation between the two institutions. In the future, both sides plan to expand the scope of collaboration, creating more opportunities for academic learning and professional development for students and lecturers from both countries in a high-quality, globally integrated educational environment.
