Strengthen cooperation in the field of Information and Communication Technology

On April 28, 2022, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (IT & TT) - Can Tho University held a signing ceremony of cooperation with DRIMAES Company, Korea. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Im Jinwoo and Mr. Kim Guktae, CEO of DRIMAES, and representatives of affiliated units. On the side of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, there was Dr. Nguyen Huu Hoa, Dean of Faculty; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Nguyen Khang, Vice Dean and staff and lecturers.

Established 30 years ago, the Faculty of ICT has become one of the leading ICT training institutions in Vietnam. Currently, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology offers 10 undergraduate programs, 03 master's programs, and 01 doctoral programs with more than 5,000 students. The Faculty has 06 departments with 120 staff and lecturers, of which 50% of the lecturers have a doctoral degree, and 20% of the lecturers are studying doctoral programs in developed countries. Every year, the Faculty's team publishes about 100 scientific articles in the field of ICT. DRIMAES is a car software platform company. DRIMAES develops solutions that can deliver authentic experiences in the mobile sector. Aiming to develop cooperation in the fields of Information and Communication Technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Big Data, Faculty of Information Technology & Communication.

At the ceremony, representatives of leaders of the two units, Dr. Nguyen Huu Hoa, Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, and Mr. Kim Guktae, CEO of DRIMAES the Company signed a memorandum of understanding to serve as a basis for the orientation of cooperation contents between the two sides. Specifically, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology and DRIMAES Company will coordinate to implement international research projects and topics; develop training programs for students, lecturers, or technology experts related to the field of AI, Big Data, and at the same time meet the needs of internships and jobs after the program; promote and support building public relations, towards the goal of mutual benefit.

Dr. Nguyen Huu Hoa, Dean of Faculty of ICT and Mr. Kim Guktae, CEO of DRIMAES Company signed a memorandum of understanding Leaders of the two units expressed their pleasure because the signed memorandum of understanding has formalized and deepened the cooperative relationship between the two sides. This is an important milestone in the expansion of cooperation of the Faculty of ICT, contributing to building a good partnership. Based on the signed memorandum of understanding, the two units will jointly develop a detailed cooperation plan to effectively exploit resources and advantages to achieve important and beneficial results for both sides and continue to develop a strong partnership.
