The signing ceremony of MOU between between Can Tho University and Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology, Japan

On 1^st  March, 2012, Can Tho University (CTU) held the ceremony of  signing MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology (TUMST), Japan. Participants at CTU side were A/Prof. Dr. Ha Thanh Toan – Rector, A/Prof. Dr. Le Viet Dung – Vice Rector, along with the representatives of leaders from College of Aquaculture and Fisheries, College of Agriculture and Applied Biology and related staffs. Representing Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology, Dr. Hiroshi Kohno – Vice Rector, Mr. Yasushi Okuda – Manager of International Cooperation Division and Dr. Toshiaki Ohshima – Professor of Department of Food and Technology led the Delegation to sign the MOU with CTU.

CTU and TUMST were signing the MOU

On the signing ceremony, both sides warmly expressed their friendship and wishes to effective mutual collaboration and support to the bilateral development in the future. CTU and TUMST have mutually approved to cooperate as the following, which is extracted from the MOU:

1.   Collaboration among faculty and staff members for research, symposia, and other academic pursuits as feasible and mutually agreed;

2.   Exchange visits by students as mutually agreed and jointly arranged;

3.   Joint research activities when mutually agreed and feasible; and

4.   Exchange of informational materials on education, training, and research matters.
