Cooperation signing ceremony with European Business School - ISAG, Portugal

On May 19, 2022, Can Tho University (CTU) held a Cooperation Signing Ceremony with European Business School - ISAG, Portugal. Attending the ceremony were Prof. Dr. Ha Thanh Toan, Rector of CTU, and representative of leaders of CTU’s units

Established in 1966, Can Tho University is a national key multidisciplinary university in the Mekong Delta; a center for training, scientific research, and technology transfer to the region. The University currently has more than 1,800 staff members, and offers more than 100 undergraduate programs, 48 ​​master's programs, and 20 doctoral programs with about 45,000 students. International cooperation is one of the outstanding activities of CTU. The university always actively seeks cooperation opportunities with domestic and foreign partners to improve the quality of teaching, scientific research, and social development. European Business School - ISAG is a private polytechnic founded in 1979, located in Porto. With a history of more than 40 years, ISAG is one of the pioneering and quality schools in Management and Tourism training in Northern Portugal. The School offers 5 undergraduate programs and 2 master's programs with approximately 1,100 students.

Leaders of the two units signed a memorandum of cooperation

Leader representatives of the two sides, Prof. Dr. Ha Thanh Toan, Rector of CTU, and Prof. Elvira Pacheco Vieira, General Director of ISAG, signed a memorandum of understanding to agree upon the following activities such as the Promotion of joint research works including the exchange of faculty and research members; Development of student exchange programs or double degrees; Exchange of academic research data and teaching materials; Cooperation in publication activities or cultural activities; and Organization of joint academic conferences, seminars, symposiums, and congresses.

Speaking at the ceremony, leaders of the two units expressed their belief that the cooperation agreement would be the basis for the two sides to build and develop cooperation activities in the future to achieve important results, contributing to the development of each unit and building a good mutual relationship in the coming time.
