Can Tho University Welcomes 50 Students from Gyeongsang National University (Republic of Korea) for a Credit Transfer Program

On January 6, 2026, Can Tho University welcomed Prof. Ha Jae Pil and 50 students from Gyeongsang National University (Republic of Korea) for a credit transfer program. This program was one of Can Tho University’s concrete initiatives aimed at strengthening international cooperation, promoting academic exchange, and fostering cultural interaction among higher education institutions in the region and worldwide.

Dr. Le Van Lam - Vice Rector of Can Tho University, warmly welcomed the students from Gyeongsang National University and expressed his belief that the credit transfer program would provide valuable academic experiences while deepening their understanding of Vietnamese culture and people in general, and of the Mekong Delta region in particular. He also conveyed his best wishes to the delegation for a productive period of study and work, as well as many memorable experiences at Can Tho University and in Can Tho City.

During their credit transfer period at Can Tho University, students from Gyeongsang National University attended specialized academic courses mutually recognized for credit by both universities. They also participated in academic activities, cultural exchange programs, and interactions with students from Can Tho University and the surrounding region, while gaining practical exposure to the local socio-economic context. This program provided an important opportunity for students from both universities to broaden their international perspectives, enhance academic capacity, develop intercultural communication skills, and strengthen adaptability in a multicultural learning environment.

The credit transfer program with Gyeongsang National University continued to reaffirm Can Tho University’s increasingly prominent role and growing reputation within regional and international higher education cooperation networks.
