Prof. Dr. Preeyanuch Prompasit - President of Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University (Thailand). The meeting was also attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Chyada Klinchan - Vice President, and members of the delegation from Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University, together with representatives of relevant units and lecturers from CTU.

Promoting Educational Cooperation and Academic Connectivity
During the meeting, CTU and Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University introduced their respective development orientations, educational strengths, and international cooperation activities. On this basis, the two sides discussed potential areas of collaboration in the coming time, focusing on education and capacity building for lecturers and students, particularly in the fields of English for teaching and academic research. They also explored the possibility of implementing lecturer and student exchange programs, organizing professional development courses and academic seminars, and strengthening academic networking and the sharing of professional experiences. The agreed directions for cooperation were designed to be concrete, practical, and aligned with the development needs of both universities in the context of international integration in higher education.
In his welcoming remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Trung Tinh shared that CTU always fondly remembers the first visit of Asst. Prof. Dr. Preeyanuch Prompasit to the University on June 2, 2025. That visit not only marked an important milestone in the relationship between CTU and Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University, but also laid a solid foundation for expanding student exchange activities, credit transfer programs, staff development, and academic connectivity between the two universities.
The President of CTU emphasized that, from the initial orientations, the relationship between the two universities has gradually evolved from the exchange of ideas to the implementation of concrete and practical activities. Most recently, from July 5 to July 14, 2026, CTU successfully organized the first short-term training program on enhancing English language competence for teaching and academic research for lecturers, with the participation of 19 trainees. Notably, one encouraging outcome of the program was the initial formation of a joint research team involving researchers from both universities, together with the completion and submission of a joint research manuscript to an international journal, opening up promising prospects for future collaborative research and academic publications.

Representing Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Preeyanuch Prompasit expressed her deep gratitude for the respectful and warm hospitality extended by CTU to the delegation. She affirmed that CTU is one of the most comprehensive, effective, and promising partners of Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University among the universities with which it has signed cooperation agreements.
The President of Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University stated that this is the largest group of lecturers and staff ever sent abroad by the University to participate in a training program, and that CTU is the partner in which Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University places its full trust as a partner for its professional capacity-building activities. In addition, Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University expressed its desire to further expand cooperation in the future by exploring the possibility of implementing a dual-degree program, allowing students of both universities to study at both CTU and Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University and receive degrees from both universities. Furthermore, the President suggested the development of Thai language teaching programs at CTU and Vietnamese language teaching programs at Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University.

Signing the MoA to Implement the English Professional Development Program
As part of the program, CTU and Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on the joint implementation of a short-term English professional development program for lecturers, aimed at enhancing English language competence in teaching and research. This signing concretized the cooperation contents previously agreed upon by the two sides and marked a new stage in the development of the partnership between the two universities.
Under the agreement, the two universities will jointly organize short-term professional development programs with the aim of sharing academic resources, strengthening the exchange of teaching and research experiences, and thereby enhancing English language competence in the higher education environment. The signing of the MoA not only demonstrates the commitment of both sides to promoting cooperation in a systematic, long-term, and effective manner, but also creates a favorable foundation for expanding collaborative activities in education, research, academic exchange, and high-quality human resource development in the future.

Nineteen Lecturers from Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University Participate in the Second English Professional Development Training Program at CTU
Following the signing ceremony, 19 members of the delegation from Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University will remain at CTU to participate in the short-term training program on enhancing English language competence for teaching and academic research for lecturers. This is the second group of lecturers and staff sent by Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University to participate in the professional development program at CTU, following the success of the first cohort, which concluded on July 14, 2026.
During their study period at CTU, the participants will receive training in English for teaching, academic research, and academic communication through specialized topics, discussion sessions with lecturers and experts, and final presentations. With instruction provided by experienced lecturers from various fields, including linguistics, economics, socio-cultural studies, and pedagogy, the program not only contributes to enhancing professional competence, but also creates a space for academic exchange, experience sharing, and strengthened connections between lecturers of the two universities. In addition to classroom learning, participants will take part in field study trips, cultural experiences, and group activities, thereby gaining a deeper understanding of Vietnam, its people, and the dynamic, modern, and internationally integrated higher education environment of CTU.
