On February 19th, 2019, at Can Tho University, the kick-off meeting of the project "Research-based curriculum development in molecular and materials sciences" (MOMA project) was held to assess the accomplishments of MOMA project for the entire period of the MOMA project from 2019 to 2022 and discuss the outreach and exit strategy of the MOMA project.

Kick-off Meeting of the MOMA project took place at Can Tho University

Funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union through Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), the MOMA project  is implemented to reinforce the staff and lab capacity, thereby enhance quality of the education and training programs in molecular and materials sciences at the four Vietnamese partner universities including Can Tho University, Quy Nhon University, University of Education – The University of Danang and Hanoi National University of Education. The project is implemented in cooperation with the support of three European universities: KU Leuven University (Belgium), University of Twente (Netherlands) and Rostock University (Germany).

The project's activities focus mainly on developing 24 courses related to research-oriented molecular and materials sciences that are integrated in Chemistry and Physics training programs of Vietnamese universities. Besides, 04 research-oriented training programs in the field of molecular and materials sciences will be developed. The other activities are the exchange of scientific staff between Vietnamese and European partner universities to enhance knowledge, teaching experiences as well as English ability for teaching staff and students of Vietnamese partner universities.

The project is implemented within 04 years (2019-2022) with a budget of 999,695 EUR, of which 30% of the project's budget will be used to upgrade laboratory equipment in the field of molecular and materials sciences of 04 Vietnamese members of the project.
